DMK chief Karunanidhi signs register at Assembly
DMK chief and Tiruvarur MLA M. Karunanidhi visited the Assembly premises on Tuesday and signed the attendance register, marking his second appearance in the House since the AIADMK retained power. Some of his party MLAs went and received him. Mr. Karunanidhi left after signing the register kept in the Assembly lobby. The last time, the wheel-chair bound DMK patriarch attended the Assembly was to take oath as an MLA for a record 13{+t}{+h}time. The DMK leader has generally avoided attending the Assembly when in the Opposition, but failing health and the lack of adequate facilities to enable him to attend the Assembly has also contributed to his not attending the current session.
