Eight killed as truck hits bus in Tamil Nadu
TRICHY: Eight people, including three women, were killed when an Eicher truck they were travelling on hit a tourist bus near Valanadu in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu on Friday.
More than 25 people were injured in the accident that happened on the on Madurai – Trichy National Highway.
Around 65 people were travelling on the Eicher truck that was going to Kovilpatti village in Trichy district from Ammapatti in Dindigul district. The passengers on the truck were going to a temple in Kovilpatti village.
There were no passengers in the bus that was proceeding from Madurai to Trichy.
The bodies were sent to the Government Hospital in Manapparai for postmortem.
