Yash Raj Film’s heart-warming gift to Indian gold medalists of Rio Olympics
At one of the recently held events, superstar Salman Khan might have goofed up with the name of Dipa Karmarkar, who is the first Indian woman gymnast to have been qualified for the Rio Olympics 2016, but here’s some good news from Yash Raj Films, the makers of his latest release ‘Sultan’ which recently inked its name in the prestigious Rs 300-crore club.
Yash Raj Films has decided to honour every Indian gold medalist of the Rio Olympics with Rs 10 lakh each. The production house released a picture that reads, “Saluting Every Sultan At Rio. YRF will be happy to honour every Indian gold medal winner at the Rio Olympics 2016 with INR 10 lakhs.*” The picture also mentions Sultan’s Rs 300 crore collection at the India box office and that the film has made a whopping Rs 584 crore worldwide.
Quite recently, popular columnist Shobhaa De, through her Twitter comment, had ridiculed Indian sportsmen and women who made it to Rio Olympics. However, this fantastic piece of news from Yash Raj Films will sure bring a smile on lots of faces and will undoubtedly up the morale of all the Indian sports persons who are putting their heart and soul and leaving no stone unturned to make India shine on the global map!
