Rumours about ‘Kabali’ refuse to die down
With no official word yet on the release date of superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’, directed by Pa. Ranjith, fans took to various social networking sites on Tuesday stating that the probable release date of the movie had been pushed from July 15 to July 22.
Many fans also tweeted to the official handles of the movie-makers of the movie asking for the release details of the movie, which is also being dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi and Malay.
Earlier this week on June 24, the official page of the Le Grand Rex theatre in Paris, believed to be one of the biggest in Europe tweeted in French stating that ‘Kabali’ would release on July 14, adding to the ongoing speculations then that the movie would release on July 15.
A source from the production house said that there has been all-round speculation about the release date even before the film was officially certified by the CBFC.
“The film is yet to be certified, but even before that contests and release dates are being announced. It is against the rules. We can only decide on the release date only after the film is officially certified,” he said.
No major release
None of the other top actors in Kollywood have a release lined up for July and the only major movie expected to hit the screens for Eid is the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Sultan’.
