AAP says will visit Delhi University today to inspect PM Modi’s records
NEW DELHI: Shortly after BJP president Amit Shah on Monday made public the copies of PM Narendra Modi’s BA and MA degrees, AAP claimed that the certificates had been forged.
The party based this contention on the change of the PM’s name in the two degrees. AAP spokesperson Ashutosh pointed out that from ‘Narendra Kumar Damoder Das Modi’ in the BA degree, the name in the MA degree had become ‘Narendra Damoderdas Modi’.
Senior AAP members have decided to visit the Delhi University on Tuesday to inspect records pertaining to Modi’s degrees and have invited Shah and finance minister Arun Jaitley to accompany them. “Since there is a CIC order to show all records to Arvind Kejriwal, why has DU sealed all records? What is the fear in throwing open all records to clear the air,” said a party spokesperson.
Earlier in the day, party spokesperson Ashutosh took on the BJP brass, challenging it to produce an affidavit which should have been filed had Modi changed his name at any point of time.
