Ansari accepts Mallya’s fresh resignation
Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari accepted a fresh resignation from businessman Vijay Mallya on Wednesday, on a day when the Ethics Committee of the Upper House recommended his expulsion from the House with immediate effect.
“Hamid Ansari, Chairman Rajya Sabha, accepts resignation of Vijay Mallya, resubmitted unconditionally and as per correct procedure,” Officer on Special Duty to Mr. Ansari, Gurdeep Singh Sappal tweeted.
