One man can’t transform India: Rahul Gandhi targets PM Modi in Bengaluru
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi interacted with students of Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru today. During his conversation, Rahul accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking all government decisions himself.
Here is what Rahul Gandhi said:
- I looked up Wikipedia, I found to my surprise that three brilliant women that I know, come from this institution. I was very impressed with the alumni list. So I called Margaret Alva, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Nirupama Rao.
- Conversation is important, out of conversation comes out a refined perspective.
- How can one person have all the answers? I want you all to be part of decision making in the country.
- In the Central government today I can say with certainty that there is only one person taking all the decisions.
- The central idea of the PM which I contest is that he believes that country can be run through the Prime Minister’s Office.
- Young lady goes to a pub in Bengaluru and she is thrashed because she went to a pub. The single biggest problem in this country is that women dont have the place they deserve, they are mistreated.
- Carrying out physical violence on a woman because you don’t appreciate what she does, is not acceptable in this country. To me this country’s biggest strength is “Live and Let Live.”
- The only way to transform this country is not through one man, but with every Indian’s help, with the participation of the poor.
- Government has to accept that Congress has 20 per cent of the national vote, we want to make sure there is a cap on taxation for you.
- I hear a talk of ‘Clean our Country’. Are we serious? Do you see it working? I don’t.
- The government is slashing education and health care expenditures while not fulfilling their promise of creating jobs.
- Hating someone is easy, loving someone is more powerful. More conversation better
