1.5cr evasion: Tax raids conducted on builder group
INDORE: Anti-evasion wing of commercial tax department, Madhya Pradesh, conducted raids at builders and iron steel developers of city on Tuesday. Tax department sleuths have detected evasion of nearly Rs 1.5 crore, following raids on eight companies of the same group.
“A team of 30 officials carried out search operation at Anoop Nagar and Manoramaganj companies as we suspected that developers had been hiding their transaction details from the department,” said a senior commercial tax official.
Department officials said search began day before yesterday and concluded on Tuesday. “Companies were not paying entry tax during purchase of goods,” said an official. The raid was conducted at Pawan Trade Pvt. Ltd, Pawan Infra and Sai Mega incorporation, Shri Incorporation, Pawan Marketing Agency, Pawan Sales Agency, Pawan Sales Agency, Prashant Sales Agency, Reva Spin Pipe and Satya Laxmi Infracon.
